Why I am Running for Justice of the Peace

I did not plan to run for Justice of the Peace until a few days before the cut-off day for filing.  So it has taken me a few days to get my campaign up and running.  I am relying upon your support to help me along the way.

I was encouraged by people around me to run for this office.  As I prayed about and investigated the possibility, I realized that I was good fit for this position.  Read more about my beliefs and experience under the following headings:

You may ask, does it really matter if we have a Conservative Republican in this position?  If the last five years have taught us anything, they have taught us that we need Conservative Republicans in as many elected offices as possible.  While it is true that the Justice of the Peace handles small claims, “small” means cases in the amount of $20,000 or less.  For most of us, $20,000 is a large amount of money.

A Justice of the Peace also handles eviction cases, including squatter eviction cases.  It is hard enough to remove a squatter by carefully following the legal eviction process.  It is harder still if you have a judge more sympathetic to the person illegally moving into your home than to you.  We are seeing the effect of that in a number of liberal states that make it very difficult for you to get your property back once a squatter moves in.  This might not be a big issue in our county today, but I suspect it will become a bigger issue in the next four years with the influx of people into our County.

We need to keep Comal County very RED and very conservative!
I would be honored to have your vote.

Where is Precinct 3?

In yellow above are the boundaries of Precinct 3.  As you can see, it is a strip along the I-35 corridor from Hays County all the way to Schwab Road.  A large portion of commercial New Braunfels is in Precinct 3, including the Creekside Shopping area, the Marketplace, the downtown area, the site of the new Costco.  As you would expect, the JP Offices for Precinct 3 are the busiest in Comal County.  Click here for a more detailed look at the boundaries of Precinct 3.
